Dr Wolde Tadesse, Chairman
Currently affiliated with the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, and has also been a visiting researcher with the African Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. Wolde Tadesse worked as a senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle, Germany from 2000 to 2003 before joining the Christensen Fund in California, where he spent eleven years as the Program Officer for the African Rift Valley. He is a trustee of the Global Diversity Foundation, the Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF) based at IFAD, Rome and Dir Biyabir of California.

Dr Elizabeth Ewart
Associate Professor at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, University of Oxford. She was Head of the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography for three years until September 2021. She teaches social anthropology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is a fellow and trustee of Linacre College. Her research interests include highland farming systems in southern Ethiopia as well as the study of indigenous lifeways in central Brazil.
